Céreq carries out large scale national statistical surveys on individuals and companies; it draws on varied administrative sources to expand its databases and carries out its own qualitative and quantitative studies:

  • The "Generation" Surveys

Since 1992, The "Generation" surveys based on a longitudinal methodology, analyse school leavers’ job insertion and trajectories in their first and years of active life. Primary objective is the production of job insertion indicators (employment unemployment rate, average salaries, recruitment schemes, type of contracts, job matching, etc.), broken down by different levels of education, certifications, disciplines, type of institutes.

  • European Lifelong Learning Indicators

Céreq is one of the French data providers for European scale surveys on Vocational Education and Training (VET). The data produced and processed for this purpose originates from different sources: Implementation of the European five-years Continuing Vocational Education Survey (CVTS); Vocational training expenditures declared by French companies with at least 10 employees (Tax declaration form 2483); Treatment of data coming from the European five-years Adult Education Survey (AES), currently implemented by DARES.

  • Statistical Sector Portraits

Specific studies have been conducted on workforce certification and renewal policies in different economic sectors. For this purpose, Céreq has developed an innovative tool, the statistical branch portraits database (PSB), which provides social partners and professional monitoring organisations with branch-specific overviews on employment and training (employee profiles, territorial distribution, facilities, HRM practices, qualification levels, training, youth access to labour market, etc.).

  • REFLET database

REFLET maps the historical evolution and developments of vocational training certifications as well as the historical spread of the corresponding training offer. Its approach to educational policies focuses mainly on their implementation and the observed effects at national, regional and European level.
