Cooperatives for ecology: is it a matter of organisation?
Besides professional activities directly linked to environmental protection, there are a number of sectors in which the ecological transition is a key issue guiding the development of their professional practices. This is the case of the social and solidarity economy, and more particularly that of cooperative structures. How does taking environmental issues into account transform the jobs, professional practices and work organisation in these structures? Based on the case studies of two cooperatives with very different areas of activity, this Céreq Bref highlights a significant relationship between greening initiatives, a shared conception of governance and organisation, and the revaluation of the meaning of work.
