Ecological transition in the construction industry: site managers on the front line
The building sector is well known for its high levels of pollution and its high greenhouse gas emissions, particularly when it comes to newly constructed buildings. It is therefore subject to numerous regulations, particularly those of the 2021 "Climate and Resilience" law. Based on a qualitative survey, this paper questions the effects of the ecological transition on professions involved in construction. To this day, managers - site managers and site supervisors - seem to be the main players in greening construction sites. But the challenges facing the sector in the future raise the question of the transformation of all construction trades.
