VPE, which Céreq has been studying since it was first introduced “enables any person, regardless of their age, level of education or status, to have their prior experience validated in order to obtain […], in whole or in part, a professional qualification or vocational qualification certificate listed in the National Register of Professional Qualifications (NRPQ)”. This ambitious measure, introduced at the beginning of the 2000s, has not met with the success that was expected of it, but the recent legislative changes, combined with the widespread use of skill blocks, could open up new opportunities for its development.
